This reminds me of how under-funded my elementary school was, we only got to look at our hair with the microscopes.

yeah. i didn't get to do microscopy at school either, which is sad cos its not hard or expensive. i have a little light microscope which belonged to my husbands grandad, it only has a mirror no electric bulb or anything. i'm amazed what i can see with it!

Also, when the species you choose turns out to be recalcitrant (plants only). That sucks so hard.

Them's some hyper neurons.

I always find it dispiriting that the healthiest neurons are usually the hardest to see in microscopy.
