13.5cm diameter circle of ~ScottMan2th's amazing handmade paper, graphite, colour pencil, and brown & black pens. The dark green is part of the dye of the paper - a very interesting piece of Scott's paper, this one... :)
This is what happens when I get stuck in a house for a few days :XD:

Apophenia is the tendency of the human brain to see meaningful patterns in random data. Famous examples would include the face on mars and the likeness of jesus on a waffle (examples of a type of aphophenia called pareidolia.) In my case I have a tendency to perceive biological patterns in the surface of paper... its almost inescapable when drawing on Scott's amazing hand-dyed media. But hey, I'm happy with this odd habit of my cortex and its cognitive processes :D

Immediately makes me think of autumn: brown leaves. Even the textures seem to have a leave-like pattern. The black, purple and green break it off nicely.

How would it look if you did a circle on a, let's say, a 60 cm diameter paper...

Thank you again. The paper has an amazing texture indeed. Scott has mad paper-dying skills!

60cm??? :jawdrop: I don't think I've ever drawn anything that huge! The biggest lab filters I have are 24cm, you never know, I might try one some day!

Beautiful. There's a map in the Lord of the Rings that reminds me of this.
