Drawn in the dark: Lappet Forestby *Immy-is-Thinking

I started this a while ago. I'd been reading about Lappet moths, the kind with long noses

4B mechanical pencil (yes -

mechanical!!) on a royal mail standard postcard.

If anyone would like to risk the post: tell me story about moths and I will mail this postcard-drawing to you. Or the person with the best moth story. Its spray fixed, It'll be a good test of the post pigeons!!

Drawing in the (almost) dark is hard and I'm not entirely happy with the shading. But its not too bad I reckon. Practise makes perfect, like drawing on the train... just like drawing on the train, drawing when i can't sleep and without putting on all the lights and waking everyone up is about time... there seems so little time to draw until you realise every bus, train and bout of insomnia is an opportunity!!!

The bee crept in again I see... I have bees on the brain i think...

Nice stuff

. Haven't heard from you in quite a while to be honest. I like the shading and such it is awesome!

My mom is terrified of moths and screams really loud when she sees one and either me or my dad have to get it out of the room before she will go back in, which is tough if it is the kitchen in the evening

Aww thats a shame. I love moths. I once had a boyfriend who was terrified of them and used to shoot at them with a pellet gun. Needless to say he didn't last!
