Graphite and tinted charcoals on heavyweight paper.
This piece is for sale in aid of Brain Tumour Reseach [link] - it took one long night to make and you can make me an offer by note here on dA. Its framed in a hand collaged mount.
I'm looking at this again and I wanted to say you inspire me to create traditional art! I'm currently studying the neuroscience of vision, so of course this sort of looks like an eyeball to me.
intricate are the thoughts that weave along the twists and tortured path just behind the light or spark that flits away before once reached... and yet when grasped, the hold is sure but so tightly, for that would crush, break or damage...the very essence that lead the dance...and the beauty that once enthralled
*grin* an example of how my brain will overlook things whilst typing very quickly... one word is missing from this verse... the line that it should appear is this one:
along the twists and tortured path
just behind the light or spark that
flits away before once reached...
and yet when grasped, the hold is sure
but so tightly, for that would crush, break
or damage...the very essence
that lead the dance...and the beauty
that once enthralled
one word is missing from this verse... the line that it should appear is this one:

might help with the intended context
either way, love your reply
