'Symbiosis' is a collaborative project between the paper-tastic ~ScottMan2th, myself and artists from around the world, with the help of the University of Reading Herbarium and the British Science Association. You can find out more here - imaginingscience.tumblr.com/ and imaginingscience2013.blogspot.… and the rest of the folder is here - immy-is-thinking.deviantart.co… 'Symbiosis' studies natural patterns and relationships, and uses lichen (a symbiosis between fungi and photosynthetic partner(s)) as a paradigm of the complex and intricate relationships between different organisms, people and plants, art and science. As both scientists and artists we love lichen, and just like lichen we have intricate symbiotic relationships as artists and scientists; with each other and with our scientific and artistic communities.
The project will be exhibited at The Rising Sun Arts Centre, Reading, UK, 15-22 March 2014, and afterwards all the luggage tags in the project will be sold in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
